iBIO Adds Accomplished Communications and Manufacturing Leaders to Board of Directors

CHICAGO (June 18, 2024) The Illinois Biotechnology Innovation Organization (iBIO), the trade association representing the 91,000 jobs in Illinois’ life sciences sector, today announced the addition of Geoff Curtis and Abner Garcia-Delgado to its board of directors.

“We are thrilled to welcome Geoff and Abner to the iBIO board,” said John Conrad, President and CEO of iBIO. “Their proven leadership and deep expertise in communications and biomanufacturing will be invaluable as we work to grow Illinois’ leadership in life sciences innovation.”

Geoff Curtis is the founder of Marshall Curtis Communications and former executive vice president, corporate affairs and chief communications officer at Horizon Therapeutics. “I’m excited to join iBIO’s board and lend my communications expertise to support the organization’s mission of driving life sciences growth in Illinois,” said Curtis.

Abner Garcia-Delgado is Vice President Manufacturing and Site Head for CSL Behring’s Kankakee operations. “Illinois has a vibrant life sciences community, and I look forward to representing biomanufacturing on iBIO’s board as we collaboratively advance the state’s innovation ecosystem,” said Garcia-Delgado.
