iBIO has opened student applications for the 2023 Illinois BioGENEius Competition and is welcoming students from all over Illinois to apply and participate for top honors. This highly prestigious science competition seeks to recognize and reward excellence in biotechnology research, with three distinct challenges: Global Healthcare Challenge (Medical Biotechnology), Global Sustainability Challenge (Agricultural Biotechnology) or Global Environment Challenge (Industrial/Environmental Biotechnology).

The judging session will be held on April 20th at Portal Innovations, located at 400 N Aberdeen St, Suite 900, Chicago, IL 60642. Students will have the chance to present their original research and demonstrate their knowledge of biotechnology innovation. The winner of the Illinois competition will receive a prestigious honor and will be invited to the International Competition to present their work in front of esteemed experts across the world.
