Help Shape Illinois’ Biosciences Future
iBIO’s programs succeed because of the dedicated professionals who give their time and expertise. As a member company, your team plays a vital role — whether mentoring the next generation of scientists, supporting industry events, or serving on committees that drive our mission forward.
We invite employees of iBIO member companies to sign up as volunteers and get more involved in the work that makes Illinois a national leader in biosciences.
Volunteering at STEMgirls camp was one of the most rewarding things I’ve done in my career. I expected to spend a few hours answering questions about what I do — instead, I left genuinely inspired. These young women are curious, fearless, and full of ideas. Getting to show them that a career in biosciences is real and attainable, not just something in a textbook, felt like exactly the kind of work our industry should be doing. The connections I made with the campers — and with other volunteers from across the industry — reminded me why I got into this field in the first place. I’ll be back next year without hesitation.
