Yesterday the Senate convened to formally elect Senator Don Harmon, D-Oak Park, as Senate President for the remainder of the 101st Illinois General Assembly, effective immediately.
Harmon, 53, was born and raised in Oak Park, he has represented the 39th District since 2003. His district includes Chicago’s Austin neighborhood and the suburbs of Oak Park, Addison, Bensenville, Elmwood Park, Franklin Park, Melrose Park, Northlake, River Grove, Rosemont, Schiller Park, and Stone Park.

Governor Pritzker is scheduled to give his State of the State Address on Wednesday, January 29th.
